I had a busy
weekend, starting with a visit to my friend Viks’ house. I was happy to not have the flu anymore and
was able to hold Baby A for a while. He is
one adorable baby. Or should I say divine
as his mom very proudly describes him.
The weather
here in FL has been ridiculously hot for winter. 82-85 degrees last week, and this week looks
like the heat will continue. So what’s a
girl to do when it’s hot out: go to the pool! So I did, Saturday and Sunday.
I registered
for the Gasparilla 15k. The race is in 6 weeks, so I start training
tonight. However, I needed some
incentives to get me started, and what better encouragement than a new pair of
running shoes, along with some cute running shorts. A girl’s gotta have style when running!
Saturday
night was Girls’ Night In @ my friend Angela’s.
As always, good food, good company, good conversations, good times! For everyone
that knows me, I DO NOT cook. Anyone who
has tasted my cooking knows this is true. However, this weekend I “cooked” (I
write this in quotation marks, because I’m not sure if what I did qualifies as
cooking, but my besties say it is, so I believe them!) I made a 5-ingredient dip. YAY for me!
Sunday was a
more relaxed day: church, pool and cleaning.
My sis and I finally took down the Christmas tree. It was one of those fake trees. We decided to upgrade to a real one for 2013. However, with two cats in the house, I don’t
know if that is a good idea. And speaking
of cats… here is a pic of my boy. He is
such a cutie pie. Not bad for a cat that
will be 12 in exactly one month.
Life is
good!
