I finished
my run on Saturday in 1hr and 44minutes.
Yay for me!!! Definitely an ugly
finish but a finish nevertheless. I thought
I saw the gates of heaven when I crossed the finish line.
I got to the
race at 6:05AM. Parking was a
challenge. After getting lined up, and listening
to the National Anthem, I was ready for my run.
I did great for 7 miles and then… my body gave up! Good thing my mind
kept pushing me to keep going because it was tough. Here are some pictures of the event:
| Yeap I was looking all cute the night before... little did I know the pain I was about to endure! |
I even made
it into the local newspaper!!
After the
race, I met my friends for some very well-deserved beers!
Sunday
night was Oscar night! Oh the glamour!! Soo happy for Jennifer Lawrence… even
thou, poor thing landed on her face on the way to receive her Oscar… (Something
I know I would do!). Also happy for Anne
Hathaway and Ben Affleck! I was disappointed Hugh Jackman didn’t win… oh well,
can’t win them all as they say!
By far, best
dressed was Jennifer Lawrence (according to ME!), but seriously, why does
Halley Berry look like she is 25 all the time!?!! What a beauty!!
If you are wondering
if I took these pictures off my TV… the answer is yes!
So, I was worried
on Saturday that my nipples were going to show after the race since it was overcast
and windy and a bit cold sometimes, and after running a race, I was going to be
all sweaty in a fitted outfit. But, Silly
me…. I didn’t know nips are in!!!!! (Who knew I was a trend setter :-)
Next race I won’t
care if I have a frivolous wardrobe malfunction!
Life is
good!
