Adios April!

Not quite yet… One more day to go, but I am soo happy to see this month go!!

Have you ever been angry at God? Well I have… and for the past 3 weeks, I’ve acted like a 4 year old who didn’t get her big chocolate ice cream for dessert.  And, as most of you parents know, what do you do when your child throws a tantrum at you? Yes, you ignore them… and that’s exactly what I think God was doing with me. 

Life, sometimes, throws rocks at you instead of lemons… and obviously you can’t make lemonade out of rocks!  Those times when pretty much everything in your life starts to fall apart and there is not much you can do but watch as everything falls out of place.  Yeah frustrating! 

So anyway, in the middle of my ‘little mess’, there were a few things that kept me from going completely insane….

My aunt came to visit us for 15 days.  We went shopping pretty much every day of the week for 15 days… yeah new record!! We visited every store in Tampa

On the weekends we went to a lot of fun different places here in the area

In a way, I was happy I was going out a lot. However, all the outings wiped me out, which made me very upset and stressed out… can somebody say ‘old maid’??!! Seriously!

By the end of last week, my face was looking like a teenager who just started puberty, I had gained 10 lbs, and I had no energy left in me.  So, what do most people do when they are not feeling well? rest? nope, take a break? nope… You go to your doctor and try to get drugs! So I went to see my doctor, because I’m pretty sure there is a drug out there that can make me feel better! 

It ended up that my thyroid medication needed to be adjusted.  So no new drug for me (just a little more of the one I’m already taking! :)  But I’m starting to feel better again.  

So yes, I’m happy again. I am happy April is ‘almost’ over.  I am happy that I have good friends that don’t turn their backs on me when I’m feeling defeated and behaving like a child.  I am happy God is always there, even when I can’t hear him.  But most of all… I am happy I have this guy in my life:

Because he makes me smile every day.

And yes, I can say again…

Life is good!
