So I’m a big
girl now.…. not!:)
However,
there are things that remind me that I’m no “spring chicken” anymore. For example:
Young co-workers ages 19-24, because, in a twisted world, I could be their
mother!!!! Scary! When I asked the interns at my office if they ever watch ‘Ally
McBeal’? Their response: “What’s that?”… Yep OLD! Drinking alcohol makes me
sleepy…. Definitely OLD!
Those extra 10lbs that were SOO hard to get rid
of have become 15lbs SOO hard to get rid of! Flats are my new heels…. I could go on, but I
really don’t want to…Oh what 30 years can do…. I remember being 8…. Chocolate and dolls made me happy. I think I was 9 or 10 on this photo… I was a very shy girl. Never really smiled or laughed… maybe living in the middle of a war had something to do with it. But that’s an entirely different story…
As much as
it pains me to be “younger” no more… I am comfortable with my life. I have good health, good family, and good
friends. Even thou some days life gets complicated and unpredictable, I am
happy to be where I am right now. And,
of course, I have these two furry friends to keep me company.
Here
is to the next 38 yrs!
Life is
good!
